| Net-Tex Concentrate Colostrum for Lambs - 25 g Sachet Ref: MD205 |
| HOW TO USE Add one 259 sachet of powder to 80mi of lukewarm water and mix. For SERIOUSLY AT RISK AND UNVIABLE LAMBS use two 25g sachets in 100mi of lukewarm water. Administer as soon as possible, ideally no later than 6 hours old as maximum absorption occurs within the first 2 hours of life. However if this is not possible, COL LATE WHOLE COLOSTRUM is extremely effective for older lambs. Once mixed, keep unused liquid refrigerated and use within 48 hours. COL LATE ULTRA CONCENTRATE THE ENERGY FACTOR The newly born lamb has two types of energy reserves: 1. Glycogen, which is stored in the liver, is used up very rapidly because the lamb's body works at a high metabolic rate to maintain body temperature in the first few hours of life. 2. Body Fat Lambs are born with Jacket of brown fat which is used as an energy source and for insulation. As the lamb, needing energy, uses up the brown fat, it becomes more vulnerable to hypothermia because it is losing insulation. Body fat requires Glycogen for metabolism through the liver to be complete. Where a lamb is subject to adverse weather conditions the bulk of its energy reserves are used up to maintain body temperature. Low birth weight lambs (under 3 kg) have reduced body fat and therefore survival times can be halved. Col late addresses these needs completely. COL LATE addresses these needs totally.
